Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about funeral arrangements and our services.
Why choose cremation in Cape Town?
Cremation is an affordable option that helps address the shortage of burial space in Cape Town. The City encourages families to consider cremation when it aligns with their beliefs. We provide dignified cremation services with flexible memorial and ash‑scattering options.
What documents are needed for a funeral?
We handle paperwork on your behalf. You’ll typically need a doctor’s medical certificate of cause of death (BI‑1663) and identification and address details for the deceased. Our team will advise you on any additional documents required.
Do you offer eco‑friendly options?
Yes. We can arrange environmentally friendly funerals using wooden coffins and avoiding metal or chemical glues to reduce environmental impact, as recommended by the City of Cape Town.
Where can I find emotional support?
Losing someone can be overwhelming. For confidential grief counselling, contact LifeLine South Africa on 0861 322 322, the South African Depression & Anxiety Group (0800 567 567) or the Netcare Akeso Crisis Line (0861 435 787). We’re also here to support you.
